Envirolak 200 series topcoat ELNYW200 is a water based 1k or 2k opaque finish that looks and feels like conventional varnish.

Envirolak 200 series can be mixed 5-10% by weight or volume with CAT100-LV hardener and used as a 2K system.

200 10 Sheen is a 15-20 sheen when 5-10% catalyst is added.

200 20 sheen is a 27-30 sheen when 5-10% catalyst is added.

200 is a high build coating and suitable for tough environments like kitchens and baths.

This product has excellent leveling properties for vertical applications. 200 series was recently reformulated for a softer feel.

Dry Times:

To touch: 20 minutes

To sand: 2 hours

To recoat: As a 1K - 4 hours at 4 mils, and 6 hours at 6 mils.

As a 2K recoat time is 2-3 hours at 4-6 wet mils.

Typical 2K system in a light color:

Products needed are ELPRT170 primer, CAT100-LV hardener, and this product, ELNYW200 in the sheen of your choice.

Apply a coat of 170 Primer with 5% CAT100-LV Hardener (2 hour pot life)

Sand using 320 grit sandpaper and refine with very fine or super fine sanding sponges.

(Optional) 2nd Primer Coat 170 primer OR 170TB primer with 5% CAT100-LV hardener

Level sand using 320 grit sandpaper and refine with super fine sponges.

1st Topcoat of 200 series ELNYW200, add 10% CAT100-LV Hardener (2 hour pot life)

If applying an optional 2nd coat, wait 2-3 hours and sand using 320 grit sandpaper. Refine with super fine sanding sponges.

(Optional) 2nd Topcoat ELNYW200, add 10% CAT100-LV Hardener (2K)

Recommended Spray Application & Technical Information:

Reduction is not required if spraying through a pump, but the product may be reduced with water or ELRX010 Reducer to improve application characteristics.

Note: When used as a 2K product with CAT100-LV the gloss of the 200 series will increase with each percentage of hardener. 20 sheen is recommended, if you’re looking for a true satin finish.

Air Assisted Airless:

Fluid Pressure: 500-700 PSI. Air Pressure: 25 PSI (triggered) Tips: 06, or 09.

Airless:

Fluid Pressure: 1200-2000 PSI - Tip size: 308, 310, or 408, 410 fine finish or ultra finish.

HVLP (Turbine):

Air Pressure: Max - Needle size: 1.5-1.8 reduce at 2-5% with ELRX010 reducer.

Cup Gun (gravity) Air Pressure: 40 PSI - tip size: 1.8 reduce at 2-5% with ELRX010

200 series should be applied at 4-6 wet mils.

In January and February, orders to certain areas with material that can freeze will include a large heat pack designed to provide heat for 3-4 days. This time of year delays can happen from UPS/FedEx that are out of our control. There are no guarantees with any shipping service and express can be delayed. Wood coatings can typically handle 1-3 freeze/thaw cycles. Receiving items frozen is very rare, and at this time we do not refund any products that are frozen.
